Creamy Mushroom Soup (Cookidoo)

Original: Cookidoo — Creamy mushroom Soup · My adaptation: add roasted garlic, reduce cream, add a squeeze of lemon at the end.

Why I change it: Roasting garlic beforehand deepens the flavour without extra simmering time. Lemon brightens the finish and keeps it from tasting too heavy.

Parmesan Risotto (Cookidoo)

Original: Cookidoo — Parmesan Risotto · My adaptation: stir in grated parmesan off-heat and finish with chopped basil and a touch of lemon zest.

Why I change it: Off-heat finishing keeps the cheese creamy and prevents overcooking the rice; the zest gives an aromatic lift.

Shortcut: Use pre-toasted arborio from the store or par-cooked short-grain rice if you're short on time; reduce cook time by 2–3 minutes.
